Why we’re building this
A recording saved.
A memory revisited.
Home movies often live on old tapes, hard drives, or in folders we mean to open someday. An hour of recording might hold a few minutes you’d love to see again: a first step, a family meal, a conversation that suddenly means more.
We want to make those recordings easier to return to. MemorySaver is being built to help create a shorter first cut, so you can spend more time with the people and moments in it.
You know your memories best. The edit is a starting point to watch and review, and your original stays yours to keep.
A few things to know.
Is this ready for everyone to use?
Not yet. MemorySaver is in a private owner trial while we develop and evaluate the service. The test requires owner access, and customer uploads and paid access are not open.
Will a shorter film include every important moment?
A first cut can miss something that matters to you. Watch the result and compare it with your original before sharing. Your original recording is worth keeping, even after you save a shorter film.
Does this replace or change my original video?
No. You upload a copy for the test and download a separate edited film. Keep the original file safely saved on your own device or backup.
Can I use a recording from an old tape?
If you already have a digital copy in a supported MPG, MPEG, MP4 or MOV format, you can try it within the current limits. MemorySaver does not digitize physical tapes.
Where can I learn about privacy or get help?
Read our privacy information and trial terms, or visit support. Trial files and results are temporary; save the film you want to keep before deleting the trial or its result expires.
